
High-level officials from Dominica, France, and Guadeloupe met in Guadeloupe recently to advance cooperation on key areas of mutual interest. The discussions brought together Mr. Thierry Devimeux, Prefect of Guadeloupe, and Her Excellency Marie Noelle Duris, Ambassador of France to the Eastern Caribbean, alongside Dominican representatives.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in judicial affairs, customs operations, fire and rescue services, maritime security, and immigration matters. Dominican officials emphasized the nation’s commitment to building practical partnerships that deliver tangible benefits for citizens.
“Dominica values its relationship with France and with Guadeloupe as a neighboring territory, and remains committed to building practical partnerships that benefit our people,” Primev Mister Skerrit posted on his Facebook page, underscoring the importance of regional cooperation in addressing shared challenges and opportunities.
