People’s hospitals and station hospitals have made advance preparations to provide timely treatment for heat-related illnesses during the summer season in DaikU Township, Bago Region.
Under the instruction of the Regional Medical Services Department, DaikU Township Hospital and station hospitals, including Thongwa, Ayethukha, Phaungdawthi and Wagamani stations have set up special treatment wards for patients suffering from heatstroke and related conditions.
Necessary emergency medicines and cooling equipment have also been stocked, while medical teams are following established emergency treatment guidelines to ensure effective patient care.
In turn, awareness talks on heatstroke prevention were conducted at the township hospital by Head of Township Medical Services Department Dr Moe Moe Aye, targeting patient attendants and the public to improve understanding of heat-related health risks. — Kyaw Kyaw (DaikU)/KZL
