
Under the generous patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of the country and President of the Supreme Council for Women, the Royal University for Women celebrated the graduation of the eighteenth batch of its students, who completed the requirements for the “Bachelor’s” and “Master’s” degrees, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
Her Highness Sheikha Neela bint Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Royal Water Rescue and Safety Foundation, attended the ceremony and handed over certificates to the 99 female graduates, in the presence of Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al Jahrami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, and Professor Khalid Rahma Al Dosari, Member of the University’s Board of Trustees, along with a number of dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps, and parents.
On this occasion, Her Highness Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad Al Khalifa extended her deepest thanks and gratitude to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the country’s great monarch and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for Her Highness’s generous patronage and continuous support for Bahraini women in various fields, including the field of higher education. Her Highness Sheikha Neela bint Hamad Al Khalifa confirmed that this distinguished group of female graduates represents the result of sustainable national efforts aimed at empowering young Bahraini women and arming them with education and knowledge to be active partners in the comprehensive development process witnessed by the Kingdom. Her Highness praised the advanced academic level of the Royal University for Women, congratulating the graduates and their parents on this achievement, and wishing them a promising professional future through which they will contribute to the advancement, progress and development of the nation.
For his part, Professor Dr. Riyad Yousef Hamzah, President of the University, delivered a speech in which he affirmed the university’s firm commitment to academic excellence and preparing female graduates who possess the knowledge, skills and leadership abilities necessary to keep pace with global changes and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the generous royal patronage and the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women in supporting young women in the field of cognitive education. A number of female graduates also gave speeches in which they expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to Her Royal Highness, wife of the King of the country, for her generous sponsorship of the ceremony, and to Her Highness Sheikha Nayla bint Hamad Al Khalifa for her presence and honoring them, stressing their determination to continue the path of giving and excellence in serving the nation, and appreciating the unlimited support of their parents throughout their academic career.
