Ohrid’s handball players made another great success in their club history, for Macedonian handball on the international stage.
In the second leg of the semifinals of the EHF European Cup full of excitement in SC “Biljanini Izvori” in front of full stands and a great atmosphere, the players led by coach Boris Rojevic came out as winners in the double match against the Slovenian Celje.
After Celje celebrated the first match in front of its fans with 27:26, our representative also triumphed with a one-goal difference (25:24), which was followed by penalties.
And in the penalty shootout, GRK Ohrid was better with 4:3, after Djukic scored the fourth goal, Makuc’s missed seven-pointer followed, after which Rojevic’s handball players and, of course, GRK Ohrid’s fans rejoiced.
The most effective in the ranks of GRK Ohrid were Jasuhira with nine goals and Strmljan with seven goals, and the goalkeeper Pilipović made a significant contribution with 11 saves.
On the opposite side, Peric was in the best mood with eight goals, three more than Anzic.
The opponent of GRK Ohrid in the final of the EHF European Cup will be Tatabanya from Hungary of the Macedonian representative Filip Taleski.
