The Emergency Operations Center (COE) supports 13 provinces, including the Greater Santo Domingounder alert after the passage of a trough combined with a frontal system, which will cause downpours for this weekend.

He indicated that these incidents will occur in different municipalities and communities of Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, San José de Ocoa, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Elías Piña, San Juan, Puerto Plata, Espaillat and Valverde.
Recommendations
Given the occurrence of downpours that will affect the national territorythe COE recommends that the population refrain from using spas, crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water and that generate sudden floods.
It also urges drivers to exercise caution on the roads, due to reduced visibility due to heavy rains and impassable roads, especially in the provinces under alert.
