BANJALUKA – The prom season in Banja Luka begins on May 8, when the city streets will come alive again as a sign of youth and celebration, and festive columns of graduates, dressed up and in high spirits, will pass through the city in a symbolic farewell to school desks and entering a new life chapter.
This year, the graduation season is opened by the graduates of Madrasa “Reis Ibrahim-ef Maglajlić” Banjaluka, who celebrate their graduation on May 8.
Tradition in the city center
The gathering of high school graduates is traditionally in the city center, and they come to the place of the graduation celebration with a ceremonial parade through the center, with the fact that this year, as in the previous years, thanks to the City of Banja Luka, all graduation celebrations are free.
Below is a list of graduations:
Medical school, on May 19, at Trg Krajine, at 7 p.m., celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
Technical school, May 31, with a gathering at 7 p.m., celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
Secondary school center “Gaudeamus”, on May 27, with a gathering at 7 p.m., and after the gathering a celebration will be held at the “Bosna” hotel
Construction School and Polytechnic School on May 27, at Trg Krajine, with a gathering at 7 pm and a celebration at the “Bosna” hotel.
Gymnasium, May 25, in the “Petar Kočić” park at 6:15 p.m., after which there is a graduation party in Bansko dvor;
Electrical engineering school, May 20, at Trg Krajine, at 7 p.m., celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
Catholic school center, May 21, in the “Petar Kočić” park at 7 p.m., after which they will celebrate at the “Courtyard by Marriott” hotel;
School of Economics on May 23, with a gathering at 7 pm and a celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
“Vlado Milošević” music school, May 23, at 7 p.m. on Krajine Square, followed by a celebration in the “Trezor” cafe;
School of Technology on May 24, with a gathering on Krajine Square at 7 p.m. and a celebration at the “Bosna” hotel
High school center “Gemit-Apeiron”, on May 27, with a gathering in the “Petar Kočić” park at 7 p.m., while the celebration is at the “Bosna” hotel;
Hospitality-trade-tourism school, May 21, with a gathering at 7 pm and a celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
Agricultural school on May 21, with a gathering at 7 pm and a celebration at the “Bosna” hotel;
High School of Internal Affairs on May 29, with a gathering at 7 p.m.,
Center “Zaštiti me”, on June 4, at 7 pm and with a celebration in the premises of the Center.
The city of Banjaluka provided vouchers in the amount of 100 KM each for all high school graduates, in order to ease the costs of the graduation celebration and provide support at the end of an important life chapter.
