“Good morning, Poland.” The President signed six bills and presented his statistics

President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki signed six bills passed by parliament at the end of May on Friday. The new regulations concern, among others, tax law, crisis management, the operation of public order aviation, military education, and the protection of participants in public debate.

Among the signed legal acts was the Act of 29 May 2026 amending the Tax Ordinance Act and certain other acts (Sejm print no. 2287), as well as a separate amendment to the Tax Ordinance (Sejm print no. 2352). Both acts are intended to adapt and improve the functioning of the tax system.

The President also signed the Act amending the Crisis Management Act and certain other acts (Sejm print no. 2355). The new regulations are designed to strengthen the state’s response mechanisms in emergency situations and improve coordination between the relevant services.

    Taxes, security and military medicine

Another of the signed acts concerns the regulation of the operation of public order aviation (Sejm print no. 2395). The provisions are intended to organize the legal and organizational framework for the use of aircraft by services responsible for public security.

An important decision was also the signing of the Act on the establishment of the Military Medical Academy (Sejm print no. 2458). The new university is to educate medical personnel for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces, combining military and medical expertise.

Among the signed acts was also the Act on special protection measures in civil proceedings for individuals participating in public debate (Sejm print no. 2488). Its aim is to ensure more effective protection for individuals exposed to actions that may limit freedom of speech and participation in public life.

President Nawrocki: I sign laws that constitute good legislation

President Karol Nawrocki confirmed the signing of six acts. In a post published on X, he wrote: “Good morning, Poland! I have just signed 6 acts that will soon become part of the legal system of the Republic of Poland. I have approved: 1. Simplifications in tax settlements. 2. An amendment integrating tax interpretations into a single service. 3. An act adapting crisis management to contemporary threats. 4. The establishment of aviation services within the Police and the Border Guard. 5. The creation of the Military Medical Academy in Łódź. 6. An act protecting Poles from the silencing of criticism in public debate.”

“I consistently sign those acts that constitute good law and refuse to approve those that are harmful to Poland and Poles,” he stressed.

He added that so far he has signed 229 acts and vetoed 37, meaning that over 85 percent have received his approval.

“I am getting back to my duties and wish everyone a nice day!” President Nawrocki concluded.
