We are seeking a suitably qualified professional to fill the role of Merchandiser.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Merchandiser shall be responsible for merchandising all designated outlets per their assigned route list. Their responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure 100% availability of all brands and packages by maximising stock in store and securing maximum space and locations
- Ensure timely management of daily movement of stock from the assigned retailers’ warehouse to the point-of-sale areas in store to ensure proper stock rotation
- Communicate any out-of-stock or low stock volumes same day to the salesperson for the location or supervisor
- Foster, maintain, and successfully manage the retail relationship
- Work with Sales and Marketing to successfully execute the trade plans as assigned
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- At least 4 CXC Subject passes, including Math and English
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar field or Sales environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and human relations skills
- Good time management skills
- Good computer literacy skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- A valid driver’s license would be an asset
