In the incident, one of the individuals was submerged and later required hospitalization.
Flyboard is an extreme water sport that allows participants to hover up to 10 meters above the water using a board with boots connected to a high-pressure water propulsion system. Riders can perform flips, dives, and aerial maneuvers.
In Vietnam, the activity is popular in tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc.
According to initial reports, a man and a woman were taking part in the activity at a height of around five meters when the incident occurred, causing both to fall into the lake.
The woman quickly resurfaced and was assisted, while the man sank and was later rescued and taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
The male victim, identified as P.T.A., 42, from Hai Phong City, also in northern Vietnam, suffered near-drowning and was transferred from Ninh Binh General Hospital to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi for further treatment.

The flyboard activity had been held at Ky Lan Lake in Ninh Binh Province on April 30, attracting large crowds of tourists.
On Sunday morning, the activity was moved to Nui Lo Lake, about one kilometer away.
Later that afternoon, a representative from the Ninh Binh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism confirmed the incident, saying a detailed report is being prepared.
