An important name in the Democratic Party and one of the people considered close to the chief democrat Sali Berisha, turns out to be a partner with Ergys Agas in the luxury complex “Equos Resort”, which has been seized by SPAK.
Resources for Shqip.com inform exclusively that it is about Shkëlqim Hoxha, former director of Games of Chance during the DP government, known for his close ties with Berisha.

Shqip.com learns that the entrepreneur Klodjan Allajbeu sold “Equos Resort” several years ago, while the buyers have been identified as persons related to Ergys Agas, who has been declared wanted in the framework of the ANKSI tenders scandal. Currently, one of the owners of the resort turns out to be a former DP candidate for mayor in Rrogozhinë, Shkëlqim (Çim) Hoxha, which he failed to win twice in a row against Edison Memolla. Even, in the elections of May 11, 2025, after he himself failed in Rrogozhinë, Çim Hoxha nominated his daughter, Loranca Hoxha, for deputy in the lists of the coalition led by DP, “Alliance for Greater Albania”, in the District of Tirana.

The political engagement of this person, together with family involvement in right-wing structures, but also his activity in business with segments connected to the left, raises strong questions. This becomes even more sensitive in the context of the public accusations of Sali Berisha, who has claimed that the family of Prime Minister Edi Rama, even his wife Linda Rama, is behind the tenders of ANA. On the other hand, one of his closest collaborators, Shkëlqim Hoxha, is a co-owner with Ergys Agas. Shqip.com will document the connection between Çim Hoxha and Ergys Agasi.
Meanwhile, Ergys Agasi is accused by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of involvement in cases of hostage-taking and blackmailing of competing businessmen, who, according to SPAK’s claims, were forced to withdraw from tender procedures.
However, what makes this case even more complex is the fact that the SPAK mega-operation, which led to the discovery and seizure of around 40 million euros of assets linked to Ergys Agas, Mirlinda Karçanaj and Ermal Beqiri, has highlighted connections that go beyond traditional political boundaries.
In the past, Agasi has been rumored to have access and influence even in the right-wing camp, through individuals close to him, with whom he is suspected of sharing interests and benefits.
SPAK’s mega-operation brought to light a staggering fortune of around 40 million euros, linked to Ergys Agas, Ermal Beqiri and Mirlinda Karçanaj. This wealth included luxury villas, apartments, large plots of land, expensive vehicles and other properties of high market value.
According to preliminary data, it is about a portfolio of assets built over the years, which raises strong doubts about the source of these assets and possible links to abuses in public tenders.
The seizure of these assets is considered one of SPAK’s biggest strikes against corruption and economic crime, while investigations continue.
