The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) concluded this Saturday, September 26, the distribution of electoral material to the 94 Decentralized Electoral Process Offices (ODPE) in the interior regions of the country, as part of the preparations for the 2026 Regional and Municipal Elections, scheduled for next October 4.
The Electoral Management Management (GGE) reported that the last office to receive the electoral load was the ODPE Pomabamba, in Ancash. With this stage completed, the decentralized offices will begin the transfer of the materials to their respective voting locations, in accordance with the established schedules.

This process will be carried out with the protection of the National Police of Peru (PNP) and the supervision of the National Elections Jury (JNE), in addition to a commissioner from the ONPE.
The ONPE began sending the material to the interior of the country last September 18.
The units were monitored using a satellite system from their departure from the headquarters of the Electoral Management Management, located in Lurín, until their arrival at the respective ODPE.
Among the materials distributed are voting cards, electoral records, lists and lists of voters, pens, adhesive tapes, fingerprint pads and manuals for polling station members.
Envelopes were also sent for the submission of minutes, results protection sheets, envelopes for challenging the vote, electoral booths and amphorae, among other implements necessary for election day.
The distribution also included contingency material. The cards intended for this purpose are delivered in packages of 50 units to the collection centers of the voting locations.
The next stage corresponds to Metropolitan Lima and Callao. The ONPE plans to start on Friday October 2, from 10:00 pmthe transfer of material to 2,115 voting locations through approximately 250 transport units.
The vehicles will depart from the platform Lurin Livelocated at kilometer 40 of the Panamericana Sur, and will go directly to the voting locations. Your route will be satellite monitored.
To address eventual contingencies, provisions have been made four additional unitseach with its respective driver. If any are used, they must be replaced to maintain the response capacity available.
Likewise, for Lima and Callao approximately 6,000 Braille templatesintended to facilitate the suffrage of people with visual disabilities. Each location will receive at least two templates, depending on the number of collection centers assigned to it.
