Former ambassador, Vlora Çitaku, has published photos from the wedding of Luan Haradinaj, Shkëlzen’s son.
Çitaku also shared a touching story of hers with Luani, when many years ago at an event in Dukagjin, she told him not to forget to invite her to the wedding.
The former MP says that Luani had not forgotten his promise and had invited her to the wedding.
“With great love, I attended the wedding of Luan, the son of Shkëlzen and Syzana. Luan grew up without knowing his father and uncle, but who proudly bears his name. A name that is not only a memory, but also a responsibility, dignity and continuity.
I will never forget a moment many years ago, in the recording of the Dukagjini Epic. The young lion was waiting for us near the place where the heroes rest, next to his uncle Hilmi. He was just a child, but with a maturity that left you speechless. Stoic, calm, with an attitude befitting men raised among legends.
That day I told him: you are still young, but when you grow up and find love, don’t forget to invite me to the wedding. Over the years, I have been filled with pride as I have seen him in the uniform of the Kosovo Army. Just an army officer. And here, after more than a decade, the invitation came to me. The Lion had not forgotten. You are the heir, the Lion of Kosovo ❤️”, Çitaku wrote.
