Upon consultation of The Nation about himself would you be interested in assuming the presidency of that bodyMüller stated that she still does not know if she will be the one to direct that forum.

“I don’t know if I’m going to preside, That is a topic that we have not discussed in the team.but I am going to collaborate in the social and education commissions. And even if I am not on a commission, we can collaborate with colleagues on different projects,” he commented, after receiving his credentials as a deputy for the 2026-2030 legislative period, at the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), this Tuesday.

When asked about the eventual support of his faction to preside over the bodyMüller indicated that the issue has not yet been defined and that he has not made a personal decision on the matter.

“I imagine so, but I still don’t know if it’s what I want to do. “We haven’t discussed it, I haven’t gotten that yet,” he said.

The elected representative assured that her priority at this moment It is in the background of the decisions and not in the formsnoting that his focus will be on “where we are going and what the people need from us.”

The official faction confirmed this April 9 that The legislator will be placed in the commissions of Education, Social and Honors.

“Criticism doesn’t worry me in the least”

His eventual role on the commission comes amidst questions carried over from her management as Minister of Educationespecially for the so-called Education Route. In this regard, the former leader downplayed the criticism and assured that “they do not concern her in the least.”

In this context, the now elected representative defended his work and indicated that the changes made in education during his tenure as leader were supported by citizens.

“It is very easy to criticize when you are faced with things that make people uncomfortable. Especially because a lot of things were changed and there were people who didn’t like it, but if you talk to the people in general they are trusting the results,” he said.

The Education Route It was announced on February 2, 2023, in an official event headed by Müller and the president Rodrigo Chaveswith the participation of other leaders and guests. However, after that announcement, a formal document was not delivered, but instead published 59 slides on the website of the Ministry of Public Education (MEP).

During his management, questions about the document that specified the goals, methodology, technical foundation, schedule and budget were constant and reiterated.

Seven months later, in September 2023, during a presentation at a congress organized by Ulacit, the former leader insisted that the plan was a “living process.” “That is why the Education Route does exist, it’s just that I invented the Route”he added.

In July 2024, the then minister told The Nation that the route would come out when appropriate. “Everyone is focused on a document, the document has been known by various groups, We will make the decision when it is appropriate. Right now people should focus on the results that have been achieved from the Route,” Müller said.

In May 2025, three months after resigning from his position, Müller Castro admitted that “He did not feel like publishing the Education Route”.

The above occurred after the statements made on May 5 of the previous year by the president of the Legislative Assembly, Rodrigo Ariaswho assured that one of the sectors most affected during the Chaves government is education.

“The call Education Route never existed, more than in the mind of the then minister,” Arias had said.

In this regard, the former minister said: “I feel very proud to have heard all the achievements that we left in the Ministry of Education. Because Rodrigo Arias He doesn’t know, but the route does exist, I just didn’t feel like publishing itso that they can tear it to pieces.”

Finally, on February 14, 2025, Leonardo Sánchez, new leader of the MEP, he unmarked himself of the Education Route, a plan that he described as “the methodology” of his predecessor and assured that during his 15 months at the head of the institution You will have a work plan that you did not name.
