Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has opened the sixth African Construction and Equipment Exhibition in the city of Misrata.
The event, held at the Misrata International Fairgrounds, brings together dozens of local and foreign companies specialising in construction, contracting and equipment.
More than 70 Libyan firms are taking part, alongside over 25 companies from Tunisia, as well as exhibitors from countries including Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, China and Greece.
The exhibition aims to explore opportunities for expanding regional and international partnerships in Libya’s construction sector.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dbeibah reiterated the government’s support for efforts to develop construction and infrastructure, describing the sector as a key driver of economic growth and post-conflict reconstruction.
