A quantity of cocaine, four precious stones suspected to be diamonds, as well as an apparatus for detecting precious metals were seized today in the Port of Durrës.
According to the official announcement of the Durrës Customs, during the inspection of a vehicle that arrived with the Ancona-Durres ferry, the authorities found a suitcase inside which was an electronic apparatus for the detection of precious metals, together with some mountable accessories.
Meanwhile, during the physical check of a citizen traveling in another vehicle from Italy, four transparent packages containing stones similar to diamonds were discovered.
Also, in another vehicle, a suspected amount of narcotics, of the cocaine type, was found, hidden in a piece of clothing placed in the driver’s cabin.

Durrës Customs, in cooperation with the structures of the State Police, blocked today during several checks carried out in the Port of Durrës a quantity of narcotics suspected to be cocaine, four precious stones suspected to be diamonds, as well as an electronic apparatus for detecting precious metals.
During the inspection of a vehicle that arrived with the Ancona-Durrës ferry, a suitcase containing the detection device and some mountable accessories was found.
During the physical check of a citizen traveling in another vehicle coming from Italy, four transparent packages containing stones similar to diamonds were found.
In another vehicle, a suspected amount of narcotic substance, cocaine, was discovered, hidden in a garment located in the driver’s cabin.
The cases were referred to competent structures for further procedural and investigative actions.
