A collision between an ambulance and a light vehicle left four people injured in Blue Gorge of Florence, in San Carlos.
The accident occurred around 2:50 am this Tuesday, April 14 on Route 35.
According to the preliminary report, the ambulance belongs to the Guatuso committee and was transporting a woman and her companion to a medical appointment in San José.
The Costa Rican Red Cross reported that the patient was referred in critical condition to the San Carlos Hospital.
In addition, two other people were transported in yellow condition, including the ambulance driver, while a fourth person was reported in stable condition.
Upon impact, the ambulance suffered visible damage, including the driver’s door falling off.
For now, authorities have not determined the causes of the accident.
