Bishkek (AKIpress) – In Kyrgyzstan, as part of the “Safe Country” project, modern video surveillance systems and automatic recording of violations continue to be introduced on main roads.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, smart cameras and hardware and software systems are already operating in Bishkek, as well as on certain sections of the Bishkek-Kordai, Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart, Bishkek-Balykchy-Cholpon-Ata-Karakol and Bishkek-Osh highways.
To monitor the traffic situation, mobile complexes “Avtouragan” and other systems are used, which automatically record speeding, driving into the oncoming lane, failure to comply with road signs and other violations of traffic rules.
According to the department, the introduction of digital technologies is aimed at improving road safety and reducing the number of road accidents.
