Turmush — A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Sokuluk district.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened in the early morning of June 8, 2026 on the Bishkek-Kara-Balta highway, near the village of Malovodnoye. According to preliminary data, a young guy and a girl died as a result of the accident.
According to some reports, they were fellow villagers and were in a relationship.
The press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region confirmed the information about the accident and reported that on June 8, 2026, at approximately 05:38, the duty department received a message that a major accident had occurred on the 16th kilometer of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta highway. This fact was registered and a pre-investigation check was launched.
During the inspection of the scene of the incident, it was established that the driver of a silver Kia K5 car, citizen A.D., born in 2002, while moving along the highway from west to east, lost control of the steering. As a result, the car flew off the road at full speed and crashed into a roadside tree.
The impact was so strong that 24-year-old driver A.D. died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. Also, the passenger of the car, girl K.A., born in 2005, died from her injuries at the scene of the accident.
As part of the pre-investigation check, a number of necessary forensic and automotive examinations were ordered. The investigation is ongoing.
