According to Jam Jam Online, Ismail Baqaei wrote in an article on the X social network: The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran left Switzerland for Tehran after conducting intensive discussions about the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding dated 28 Khordad 1405.
He added: These negotiations started on the morning of Sunday, June 31 in the “Lake Lucerne” region of Switzerland and continued until the early hours of Monday, July 1. The talks were held focusing on clauses 1, 5, 10 and 11 of the memorandum of understanding.
Referring to the joint statement of the mediating countries, namely Qatar and Pakistan, Baqa’i stated: Based on this statement, which was compiled in consultation with Iran and the United States, executive mechanisms have been foreseen to monitor the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum of understanding, and it has been decided to continue discussions at expert and technical levels to promote the effective implementation of the understanding to end the imposed war.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that according to paragraph 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding, the start of negotiations to reach a final agreement depends on the start and continuation of the implementation of paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11. The agreements reached in this meeting, especially in the field of ending the war and military operations of the Zionist regime in Lebanon, establishing a conflict control mechanism, continuing the export of Iranian oil and petrochemical products, and releasing the country’s blocked assets, can facilitate the process of implementing mutual obligations.
In the end, Baqaei emphasized: the basis of work is “commitment against commitment” and the Islamic Republic of Iran will use all its levers to ensure the implementation of these commitments while monitoring the implementation of the other party’s commitments.
