This Saturday, Benfica became the six-time national women’s football champion, after winning 3-1 at Sporting de Braga, in the 16th and third-to-last round of the competition.
Nycole Raysla (five minutes), Diana Silva (42′) and Carole Costa (76′), for their ninth goal in the competition, sealed the triumph for the “reds”, who repeat 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25, while Maribel Flores (70′) scored for the hosts.
With two rounds to go, Benfica, which remains undefeated, with 13 wins and three draws (54-10 in goals) in the first season under the command of Ivan Baptista, has 42 points, eight more than Sporting, second placed.
With the sixth title, the “red” team, which in the next round hosts Sporting, in Luz, reinforced third place in the ranking of champions, still far from the first two, 1.º de Outubro, which has 12, and Boavista, with 11.
