MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has awarded a presidential commendation to the SKA Minsk handball club. The corresponding directive was signed by the head of state, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The club was honored for its many years of productive work, high level of sporting excellence and significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sport.
As BelTA previously reported, SKA Minsk handball club is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026. The club is one of the most successful teams in the history of Soviet and Belarusian handball. It has won multiple European trophies and serves as the principal training base for players of the Belarus national handball team.
