The parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic partnership in agriculture. The talks focused on expanding the range of traded products and advancing joint manufacturing projects.
The two countries have already built a solid foundation for bilateral trade in agriculture. In 2025, Belarus increased exports of whole milk powder to Oman and launched baby food supplies to the country. Cooperation is now shifting toward deeper processing and joint production initiatives.
The countries are working on projects to package baby food directly in Oman and to produce camel milk powder. The parties have already signed a roadmap for these initiatives.
“Oman is a reliable partner with whom we are building mutually beneficial relations. We are ready to offer a wide range of products, from cheese and butter to veterinary medicines and fish feed. All of this will mark a new stage in the development of our economies,” Yuri Gorlov said.
Belarus also expressed readiness to host Omani specialists for veterinary inspections as soon as possible to launch poultry meat exports to the Omani market. Veterinary certificates were signed at the end of 2024. Oman proposed increasing exports of various seafood products to Belarus.
The Omani delegation highly appreciated the technological capabilities of Belarus’ agricultural sector after visiting Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC).
The partners are interested in adopting Belarusian milk collection and processing technologies and purchasing modern agricultural machinery. The parties agreed to exchange experts and develop a detailed cooperation plan for 2026.
“We see enormous potential for expanding trade. We were impressed by the high standards of Belarusian dairy production and the quality of Belarusian agricultural machinery. Oman has a clear roadmap for cooperation with Belarus, and we are committed to a strategic partnership and technology exchange,” Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Habsi said.
The meeting took place as part of the Belagro 2026 exhibition and the Belarus-Oman business forum. The parties have already signed seven memorandums in mechanical engineering, IT and agriculture.
