With the aim of adapting to the needs of its clients and the commitment to support people, independent workers and businesses that are looking for a flexible, modern and secure payment experience, Banco de Bogotá enabled new capabilities for people and businesses: QR codes associated with Bre-B personal keys to receive payments from any bank or digital wallet, safely, easily and with more control to organize payments. They are generated from your cell phone or computer through the Banco de Bogotá app or website, as you need: printed, or digital to share by SMS, WhatsApp or on social networks. At Banco de Bogotá, QR codes are more yours than ever.
People will be able to generate a QR code associated with their key and share it to receive immediate, free and secure payments. In addition, QR codes can be created with a specific value, simplifying the customer experience, both for those who collect and those who pay, and reducing errors in entering the key or the amount.
This solution opens new possibilities for entrepreneurs, independent workers and small businesses, by offering them a simple and interoperable alternative to receive payments in real time without the need for a dataphone. Only the Banco de Bogotá app is required. For companies, Banco de Bogotá enabled the possibility of linking multiple keys to receive payments, including the MID (commercial code), NIT, email, cell phone and alphanumeric keys. This functionality allows companies to have more alternatives to manage their collections according to their needs.
“The integration between QR codes and multiple keys expands the capabilities of the ecosystem with solutions adapted to different dynamics of use, from small daily payments to business schemes that require greater flexibility in payment management. Today receiving payments should be as easy as selling. That is why we continue to innovate with solutions that adapt to each business, from the smallest to the largest,” said Jorge Castaño, corporate vice president of financial assets and efficiency at AVAL and president (e) of Banco de Bogotá.
Currently, Banco de Bogotá has 4.8 million registered keys of individual clients, who receive on average close to 1.3 million monthly transfers, reflecting the potential of these new capabilities to continue expanding the use of digital payments in Colombia.
