Sean Hepburn talked about his mother in a book. Sharing some personal details about her life, sense of style and career
A life that fascinates and is told countless times. Audrey Hepburn is a great cinema icon. As notable for her talent as her beauty, the actress has left an indelible mark. ORToday her son Sean (born from Hepburn’s relationship with Mel Ferrer) has taken on the role of guardian and guarantor of her image, of his name and identity, since his death in 1993. It is for this reason that Audrey Hepburn’s son has decided to dedicate a final and definitive biography to his mother herself. A project which, according to him, was “rejected with a grimace (by Audrey Hepburn), who said it was the last thing the world needed”.

During the interview with “Vanity Fair”, Audrey Hepburn’s son, Sean, spoke about his book published in the United States, “Intimate Audrey”, the only official biography, written with the British novelist Wendy Holden. She said: “I liked the idea of this volume becoming a reference work, the book placed at the top of the pile, like a history book, to ensure that there is always a faithful account, narrated partly by herself, in words taken from unpublished letters.” Sean Hepburn opened up about his mother in a rare moment of sincerity, evoking her pure soul and exemplary lifestyle: “He was a very humble and simple person, who got up early in the morning and went to work“. He then added admiringly: “He was always on time on film sets and didn’t drink during filming, so he never had any problems in that aspect of his life.”
