A unity “stuck with saliva” occurred between Governor Freddy D’Ecclesiis and the Minister of Agriculture Carlos Giménez in San Pedro, to avoid the traumatic experience that occurred in Itapúa and CDE, where the opposition overthrew the Colorado Party. Both Chartists have had a strong dispute for years, so even the president, Santiago Peña, had to ask them to “lower the decibels” at a public event.
On this Sunday morning a meeting was held between the governor Freddy D’Ecclesiis and the Minister of Agriculture Carlos Gimenez, Chartist leaders with antagonistic positions in San Pedro.
The objective was to “put down our weapons” until the municipal elections of October 4 and achieve the granitic unit of the Colorado Party in the second department to avoid losing key districts.
The Chartist deputies joined the meeting; Leonardo Saiz and Carmen Giménez de Ovando and all the candidates for mayors and councilors who were winners of the internal red elections on June 7.

“The disputes were strongbut now we have the responsibility to work at the management level. It is true, it is understood and understood that many things are said during interns, we must be prudent to watch our mouths, but that often does not happen,” said the minister. Carlos Gimenez in reference to the heated discursive confrontations prior to the internal party elections.
He added that he has already approached to talk with the governor of San Pedro Freddy D’Ecclesiis and that they are healing the wounds at least until October 4, the date of the municipal elections.
“We are healing wounds, we talk to everyone, we try to convince everyone. We can’t be pire vai for long. We will see the result on October 4 and then the disputes will surely arise again,” said the minister.
Avoid the fall of the Colorado Party
The minister Carlos Gimenez indicated that the objective is to avoid the fall of the Colorado Party and that in the 2028 elections a Colorado will be elected again governor of San Pedro.
“No matter who is elected, make the Colorado governor win again. Saint Peter must hold his flag. In Itapúa the fall of the party was traumatic, in Alto Paraná The fall was traumatic. To hold the flag of coloradismo in San Pedro we must put aside personal whims,” he said. Carlos Gimenez.

He also asked his co-religionists “put up with each other” at least until October 4 and do not post anything about personal differences on social media.
“After October they will surely come out again, I ask on social networks not to publish anything. We have to put up with each other, this is a competition and we must understand that,” said the Minister of Agriculture.
For his part, the governor, Freddy D’Ecclesiis, who the day before met with his entire political team, before attending the event called by the minister this Sunday, wrote on his social networks that they are all one and that like soldiers of Bernardino Caballero will go to the municipal elections.
“The internals have been left behind and the people have already expressed their will at the polls. As Colorados we responsibly assume the commitment to work for the victory of our party throughout San Pedro. We are soldiers of Bernardino Caballero and more than ever we must be united,” wrote the governor D’Ecclesiis.
