On June 30, RA human rights defender Anahit Manasyan received the delegation headed by Astrid Asi, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Estonia, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit.
Marg Mardisalu-Kahar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Armenia, as well as the leading state prosecutor of Estonia Alar Lehesvagd also participated in the meeting.
During the discussion, the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of human rights protection were touched upon, including the issues of improving the efficiency of the justice system, guarantees of rights protection, and legal procedures.
The parties also exchanged views on a number of challenges in the field of human rights protection, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and exchange of experience.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue cooperation in directions of mutual interest.
