On Tuesday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, followed the course of the “Spears of Dignity” exercise, which was carried out by the 51st Mechanized Hashemi Brigade and its units, one of the formations of the Central Military Region, in the designated training fields, in the presence of a number of senior officers of the Armed Forces.
Major General Al-Hunaiti listened to two briefings presented by the Commander of the Central Military Region and the Brigade Commander, during which they reviewed the stages of planning, preparation and implementation, and the desired training objectives of the exercise, which aims to raise the level of operational readiness and enhance the units’ ability to deal with various situations and challenges within an operational environment that simulates modern battle conditions.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff watched the course of the exercise, which included carrying out a number of tactical duties and live firing using various types of weapons with standard support, in addition to applying command, control and coordination procedures between the participating units, in line with the training plans approved in the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The participants demonstrated a high level of efficiency and professionalism in carrying out the tasks assigned to them, which reflects the combat readiness, high morale and ability of the brigade’s ranks to carry out duties efficiently and competently in various circumstances.
At the conclusion of the exercise, Major General Al-Hunaiti conveyed the greetings and pride of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the participants, praising the distinguished level they demonstrated during all stages of the exercise, and the efforts made in planning, preparation and implementation, stressing the importance of continuing to implement qualitative and realistic exercises that contribute to developing combat capabilities and enhancing the operational readiness of units and formations, enabling the armed forces to carry out their various duties and tasks efficiently and competently in defense of the homeland and protection.
