A small Antonov2 plane was involved in an emergency landing at Luxembourg Airport (Findel) on Sunday afternoon, according to information obtained by RTL. The aircraft reportedly struck the runway with one of its wings during the incident.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) confirmed to RTL that emergency services responded at Findel, though no further details were provided. Lux-Airport has not yet issued a statement on the incident.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the emergency landing.

Live air traffic data from Flightradar24 showed at least one Luxair flight unable to land as of Sunday afternoon. Several Lux-Airport vehicles were also observed on the runway, indicating ongoing emergency or support operations.
According to the airport’s arrivals and departures website, numerous flights scheduled to land in the following hours have either been delayed or diverted. Some aircraft have already been rerouted to other airports.
RTL has received reports from passengers describing the situation at Findel as “chaotic”. Several flights are departing with delays, including a Ryanair service to Palma that is now expected to leave up to two hours late due to a lack of available departure slots.
