Sebastian Enrique Marset Cabrera35 years old, alias Omelet, served time for drug trafficking between 2013 and 2018 in Uruguay.
It was installed in 2019 in Paraguaywhere it operated until 2021, when it escaped to United Arab Emirates. Its structure was dismantled in 2022 in our country in the historic operation Extreme.
lived in Bolivia from 2023, where he reorganized his group, until the March 13, 2026 in said country, in an operation by the Bolivian Police (PB).

That same day he was handed over to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which is the federal anti-drug agency in the United States and at the same time the most famous in the world.
arrived at USA the next day and remains detained in the William Gene Truesdale Adult Detention Centerin Alexandria.
This is a city in the state of Virginia, but it is only 15 kilometers from the White House, the presidential residence located in the country’s capital, Washington DC.
After several previous appearances, finally this Wednesday, July 1 A key hearing could be held in the trial against Marset in the United States for conspiracy to launder money, since the Uruguayan would have used the financial system of that country to realize the profits obtained from the sale of cocaine in Europe.

He fired his three lawyers and wants to hire two more
Although the head of his legal team was always his compatriot Santiago Moratoriumwhen Marset was imprisoned in the United States he hired the Uruguayan as lawyers Rodrigo Silva and to the Americans Michael Padula and Jean Rossi.
However, in an unexpected and striking change of strategy, Marset fired these three defenders and announced the eventual hiring of two others.
In a letter written by his own hand and addressed to the judge in his case, Rossie David Alston Jr.the Uruguayan Sebastián Marset declares his innocence, announces his intention to change his lawyers, denounces alleged arbitrariness in the prison where he is housed and even accuses extortion to DEA agents leading the investigation.
If he cooperated with North American justice, and even more so if he betrayed his accomplices from Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay, Marset could have been sentenced to only 20 years in prisonwith the possibility of even getting out of prison much sooner.
In fact, the offer made to him by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office was apparently based on those terms.

But in his letter written on June 17 In the past, Marset openly and publicly challenges the local authorities, who could then also be ruthless towards him.
Marset’s letter to the judge who could condemn him
Below we transcribe the estimated translation of the four-page letter that Sebastián Marset wrote in English.
. Dear Judge Alston:
I am writing to you respectfully to draw your attention to a series of serious violations of my fundamental rights that have occurred continuously since the first moment I was deprived of my liberty, and that I believe require your knowledge to ensure a fair process.
The events began on March 13, 2026, when I was taken from my home in Bolivia, at 3:00 AM, without a search warrant or an arrest warrant, and without any formal extradition process.
That day I was expelled from the country and handed over directly to DEA agents, in what constitutes an irregular delivery that violates international treaties and the principle of specialty.
On March 14, upon arriving at Dulles Airport, I verbally requested an attorney and my request was ignored. I was subjected to interrogation without legal representation, in direct violation of my Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights.
During that interrogation, the officers threatened me that I would never see my children again and spend the rest of my life in prison if I did not cooperate. Subsequently, the summary of the interrogation was falsified: statements that I never made were recorded and denials that I expressly made were recorded as acceptances. This constitutes a fraudulent alteration of an official document.
On the way to my place of detention that same day, agents Michael Greisen and Tyler Ganzel demanded that I provide them with access to my cryptocurrency wallets, valued at approximately 4 million USDT.
(USDT stands for United States Dollar Tether, the cryptocurrency also known as the digital dollar and which has almost the same value as the physical currency of that country.)
This extortion attempt is documented: the agents later contacted my mother, Sandra Fabiana Cabrera López, via WhatsApp, from the number +1 (929) 768-0292, requesting photographs of a notebook that contained the access codes to said wallets. These messages are preserved and constitute direct written evidence of the extortionate conduct.
My current attorneys have refused to report these events or file actions to remove AUSA Anthony T. Aminoff from the case.
(AUSA stands for Assistant United States Attorney, which in Spanish would be the description of the position of Assistant United States Attorney. Anthony T. Aminoff is the assistant United States attorney leading the investigation against Marset.)
On May 19, 2026, my attorneys formally notified AUSA Aminoff of the agents’ extortionate conduct. The AUSA Aminoff took no action in this regard, which constitutes an active concealment in violation of its obligations under the Brady/Giglio doctrines and the rules of professional conduct.
Additionally, AUSA Aminoff has persistently insisted that I accept a plea deal on charges over which I believe the United States does not have valid jurisdiction, given that none of the alleged conduct occurred on U.S. soil, and has threatened to add new charges if I do not accept that plea deal.
In the face of my attorneys’ inaction, my family was forced to file formal complaints with the FBI, DOJ-OIG, DOJ-OPR, and other federal oversight agencies.
(FBI stands for Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is the federal bureau of investigation in the United States and at the same time the most famous in the world. DOJ-OIG refers to the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Justice. DOJ-OPR refers to the Office of Professional Responsibility of the Department of Justice.)
I have attempted to consult with new attorneys, specifically Mr. Robert Feitel and Ms. Sandi Rhee, who are close to being formally hired. However, US Marshal Timothy Alley has actively prevented these lawyers from meeting with me, in direct violation of my choice, guaranteed by the Sixth Amendment, and reaffirmed by the US Supreme Court.
(Timothy Alley is a United States federal marshal, a member of the US Marshals Service, which in turn is a federal police agency. He would be in practice the director of the prison where Marset is held..)
I respectfully request that Your Honor: First, issue an immediate order to Marshal Timothy Alley to allow access to my new attorneys without further delay.
Secondly, in the event of transfers for hearings or other procedures, take the necessary measures to ensure that I do not have contact with the DEA agents involved in this case, given the risk this represents for my safety and integrity.
Third, please take note of the chain of irregularities documented here, which will be acted upon once my new attorneys assume my representation.
I am not guilty of the charges against me and I am prepared to prove it. My only wish is to have access to adequate legal representation and a fair procedure.
I trust the independence and impartiality of this court to ensure that my rights are respected. I apologize if this process causes any delay in proceedings. However, it is a necessary step since my freedom and my life are at stake. I remain at your disposal for the hearing that Your Honor deems necessary.
Respectfully, Sebastián Enrique Marset Cabrera.
