In the context of preventive measures and control of security protocols, the British Basesmessages received, on Wednesday morning, by staff and workers at Akrotiri Bases.
In particular, shortly after 9 am, two messages were received from the British Bases, with the first calling on staff to check their work area and to report in case any suspicious objects are found. The second message called for staff to come forward to check identities inside the buildings and any presence of unauthorized personnel.
A representative of the British Bases was asked to comment on the messages received and as a relevant briefing sent to journalists states “as part of the usual precautionary measures, security protocols are checked on a regular basis and this is what was tested this morning at Akrotiri Air Base”.
