The Ministry of Information and Culture Minister of Broadcasting Mohajer Farahi, the head of Sarpul Information and Culture Mullah Abdul Ghaffar Haqnama, a number of heads of the said ministry, local officials, journalists, media workers and youths participated in this seminar.
Mohajer Farahi, Minister of Broadcasting of the Ministry of Information and Culture, said that the media and journalists have an important responsibility in the field of public awareness and information transmission, and they can convey the activities and achievements of the government to the people and the world in a correct and precise manner.
He added that the media should also share people’s problems with the authorities and healthy cooperation between the media and government agencies is important for better sharing of information and strengthening of media activities.
In this program, the principles of journalism, the professional responsibilities of the media, the enhancement of intellectual and religious capacity, the observance of Islamic and national values, the discovery of the truth and the evaluation of its results before publishing the news were discussed.
Speakers also emphasized the need for healthy cooperation between the media, mutual respect, sharing experiences, continuing training programs for journalists and solving media problems.
At the end of the seminar, on behalf of the journalists, Ghulamsakhi Farutan welcomed the establishment of this training program and requested to continue such programs.
