V Apache ceremoniously opened a new health station, which represents an important gain for citizens and a big step towards better access to health care in the home environment. According to the mayor of the municipality of Apače Andrej Steyerthe new acquisition is not only significant from a health infrastructure perspective, but also as a testament to what a community can achieve when it joins forces. With the new health station, citizens will be able to use health services closer to home.
The health station, which operates as part of the Gornja Radgon Health Center, is thus moving from a 120-year-old building, where the premises were too cramped and inadequate for modern medical activities. As the mayor pointed out, they have now opened state-of-the-art premises in which the medical staff will have good working conditions and where the patients will also feel good. The entire investment was worth 6.6 million euros.
The last act of yesterday’s opening was the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, which, accompanied by the mayor and the director Maria Zrim done by the oldest citizen of the municipality of Apače, 104 years old Albina Žabota, and six-year-old Let Bruce from the home kindergarten. There is almost a century of difference between them, and the mayor described this as a symbolic opening of the project for people of all generations.
