Slovenian and Croatian first league football team Mura and Rijeka, where he recently returned as a coach Matjaž Kekconcluded an agreement on cooperation. The common goal is to increase the competitiveness of the member team and to create even better conditions for the long-term development of the club, they wrote on the website of the Sobos premier league team.
The two clubs describe the cooperation as an important step in the realization of the sporting ambitions of both clubs. “The partnership brings new possibilities in the formation of better quality players, the development of young footballers, the exchange of professional knowledge and creates the conditions for the club to be more competitive in the First Telemach League,” write Mura.
Both clubs expect added value for both players from the joint vision of football development. An important part of the cooperation is also the possibility of loaning players, when this is in mutual interest and in accordance with the applicable regulations. “Such a way of cooperation will allow the club greater flexibility in the formation of the playing staff, further strengthen the competitiveness of the member team and at the same time contribute to the development of prospective football players,” they say in Murska Sobota.

“In modern football, quality partnerships are an important part of the development of successful clubs. We believe that the club should be open to partnerships that bring concrete added value. Our goal is clear, we want to create the conditions for Mura to be more competitive year after year, more successful in terms of results and stable in the long term,” says Mura’s president about the cooperation Robert Kuzmicwho also sees the exchange of professional knowledge as a great advantage for both centers when players are loaned.
The players of Rijeka will shortly go to their traditional base of summer training Kranjska Gora with Kekom returning to the coaching bench, and at the end of this month and the beginning of next year they will play three matches with Bravo, Grosuplje and Radomlje.
