
The Turkish authorities decided to exempt a segment of Algerian citizens from entry visas for tourism and transit purposes who hold ordinary passports.
And published local media, Yesterday, Friday, the presidential decree was published in the Turkish Official Gazette, which stipulates that Algerian citizens under the age of 15, and those over the age of 50, are exempt from entry visas.
The decision stipulates that the beneficiaries of this procedure are granted the right to reside in Türkiye for a period not exceeding 90 days during each 180-day period, in accordance with the applicable controls.
Previously, the categories covered were limited to those under 15 years of age and over 65 years of age, which makes the new decision an expansion of the scope of beneficiaries of the visa exemption system.
