Former footballer Jesper Juelsgård has been honored by the police in South East Jutland for his heroic deed in September last year.
Juelsgård witnessed when an eleven-year-old schoolchild was hit, but the child got stuck under the car. The incident took place in Gedved near Horsens.
The former player responded by lifting the car up with other witnesses and coming to the child’s rescue.
“It happened very quickly and ten minutes later the police and an ambulance were there. An ambulance arrived four minutes after the accident,” he told TV Midvest.
Juelsgård, who is 37 years old, played for Val in the 2022 season, a total of 24 games in the Best League where he scored two goals.
