Chartism and its allies left the Senate session not to discuss the project that proposes a paid day off from work for public and private workers on their birthday. The escape occurred after the Honor Colorado bench came down against the proposal.
At the time of verifying the quorum, only 21 parliamentarians were present in the Senate. That morning, three senators had requested to be absent, according to the records of Entered Affairs, so 21 legislators were absent without justification.

The Chartists Basilio Núñez, Natalicio Chase, Lizarella Valiente and Guadalupe Aveiro were present when the quorum was verified. Also his libero-cartist allies Edgar López and José “Pakova” Ledesma.
