Just as physical exercise is beneficial for the body, spiritual exercise is useful for everything, since it contains the promise of life, both current and future. 1 Timothy 4:8
Taking care of our body has become an obsession for many. They take care of it more than anything else that could exist, giving it priority in their life and investing time, money, without realizing that there is something bigger that needs to be the highest priority.
It is not bad to take care of the body, since this is the temple of the Holy Spirit. What we cannot do is idolize him and put him before the search for the spirit, which will give us life and assure us of heaven.
But we cannot lose focus, because there is an inevitable reality, since one day we will leave the land of the living and will be in His presence for eternity.
So, what about those who did not give it the courage, carried away by vanity? What will be our reward? If we never worry about taking care of what is internal and precious that he gave us to live in us. Let nothing make us neglect the greatest and most eternal.
This is a truth which we must believe. Let’s begin to change our thoughts, so that we exercise the gifts that He has given us and there is spiritual growth sustained by a continuous life of prayer and fasting.
