The Mexican Isaac del Toro (UAE) withdrew from Itzulia after suffering a hard fall 81 km from the finish line of the third stage, starting and finishing in Basauri.
Del Toro was involved in a fall along with five other riders and, after getting up from the ground, he was observed by his team director on the road, who verified that the Mexican had right side affected.
After the test, the Italian Adriano Rotunno, medical director of the UAE, confirmed that the Mexican suffered a muscle tear in right thighwaiting for more tests.

“He has a muscle tear in his right thigh and several related abrasions. More tests will be performed as a precaution under the supervision of the team’s medical team,” Rotunno reported.
The 22-year-old cyclist from Ensenada arrived at Itzulia with five wins this season and with the UAE stripes to compete in the general classification.
