The National Bureau of Meteorology warned in a new weather bulletin for Wednesday of very heavy rain falling across several states that will continue until tomorrow, Thursday.
The bulletin, which carried a level two alert, stated that the rain would affect the states of: M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, and Mila.
Estimated quantity: between 20 and 40 mm.
The newsletter is valid from Wednesday, 23:00 pm to Thursday, 18:00 pm.
The bulletin also warned of heavy rain falling across the states of: Djelfa, Tissemsilt, Ain Defla, Medea, Tipaza, Blida, Algiers, Bouira, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou.
Estimated quantity: between 20 and 30 mm.
The bulletin will be valid tomorrow, Thursday, from 3:00 am to 3:00 pm
The bulletin carried a third alert about heavy rain falling across the states of: Tlemcen, Naama, Sidi Bel Abbes, Mascara, Relizane, Saida, El Bayadh, Tiaret and Laghouat.
Estimated quantity: between 20 and 40 mm.
The newsletter is valid from 18:00 pm until Thursday at noon.
Warning: Heavy rain and strong winds across these states
On Wednesday morning, the National Meteorological Office warned in a weather bulletin of heavy rain and strong winds across several states.
The bulletin, which carried a level one warning, reported that the rains would affect the states of: Skikda, Constantine, Jijel, Mila, Setif, Bejaia, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, M’sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, Tissemsilt, Medea, Tiaret, Saida, Sidi Bel Abbes, Tlemcen, Adrar and Tindouf.
The newsletter also warned of strong winds blowing across the states of: Menia, In Salah, Timmoun, Adrar, Beni Abbes and Tindouf.
