Ulaanbaatar,
April 16, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Board of the Mongolian Volleyball Association
has appointed Serbian specialist Branislav Moro as head coach of the women’s
national team.
He has worked
as a coach in 16 countries and recently led a coaching training program held in
Mongolia. Throughout his career, Branislav Moro has mainly coached women’s
teams. He has worked with national teams such as North Korea, Yugoslavia,
Congo, Taiwan, Romania, and Serbia and Montenegro, as well as in leagues in the
Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Greece, Belarus, Libya, and Tunisia.
Under his
leadership, Mongolia’s women’s national team will compete in the East Asian
Championship to be held in Hong Kong on August 11–16, and later take part in
the Asian Games, which will begin on September 19 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Historically, Mongolia’s women’s team has participated in the Asian Games in
1994, 2006, 2010, and 2022, while the men’s team competed in 1994, 2006, 2010,
2018, and 2022.
Meanwhile,
Argentine specialist Pablo Del Crecco has been appointed as head coach of the
men’s national team. During the 2025–2026 season, he led the “Tuv Mig Wolves”
team to a championship title in Mongolia’s top league. Over his career, he has
served as head coach of 16 teams across leagues in Mongolia, the UAE, Morocco,
Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and Türkiye.
Under his
guidance, Mongolia’s men’s national team will compete in the East Asian
Championship to be held in Mongolia on August 5–9, followed by participation
in the Asian Games starting September 19.
Additionally, Munkhkhuyag
B. has been appointed as head coach of the U18 men’s national team, while Khangai
R. will lead the U18 women’s national team.
The women’s U18
team will compete in the Asian U18 Championship to be held in Thailand on July 1–7.
