The Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army announced, in a military statement, this evening, the targeting of rear bases belonging to the Moroccan occupation forces on the outskirts of the occupied city of Smara.
According to the report, this military action comes within the framework of escalating combat operations against the occupation sites, across the various front and rear defense belts.
Sahrawi activists circulated pictures and video clips showing the effects of the bombing inside the city, which is considered one of the largest cities in Western Sahara.
Sahrawi activist Talib Ali Salem reported hearing strong explosions in the city this afternoon, and the city also witnessed a security alert and intense reinforcements by the Moroccan occupation forces.
