The Tenders and Auctions Board, the independent regulatory body charged with supervising government tenders and bidding practices, announced yesterday the opening of the envelopes for 10 tenders submitted by managing parties on May 7.
The tenders offered include the time contract for sanitation works 2026/2028 carried out by the time contracting unit in the Construction Section of the Drainage Planning and Projects Department, which was put forward by the Ministry of Works for house connections, sanitation sub-projects, rainwater drainage sub-projects, sewer line diversion projects, rainwater drainage projects, repair and maintenance of sewer lines, replacement of sewage room covers, replacement of rainwater drainage hole covers, and other works that are received from the Maintenance Section of the Drainage Operation and Maintenance Department. To repair damage related to sewage networks and rainwater drainage networks. The tender takes two years.
Envelopes will also be opened for a tender launched by Bahrain Polytechnic to supply and install various fitness and exercise equipment.
The tender includes the supply and installation of various fitness and exercise devices and equipment, which include – but are not limited to – strength training devices, cardio equipment, supporting sports equipment, and accessories for gyms. All devices and equipment must be new, of high quality, conforming to approved technical specifications and international standards, with transportation, installation and trial operation services provided, in addition to warranty and maintenance, as described in the tender documents. Applicant companies must adhere to all technical and administrative conditions contained in the tender documents and submit their offers within the specified period.
The Electricity and Water Authority issued a tender to replace workstations (Evasec ICS, AEC 6920 (Boxer)) – the second phase. This tender aims to replace workstations of the type (Evasec ICS, AEC 6920 (Boxer)) with industrial workstations of the 19-inch rack type in order to work as an operating workstation and to work as an engineering workstation, in accordance with the mentioned specifications. The Ministry noted that this tender/auction is intended exclusively for small and medium enterprises that have a valid classification certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Any company that does not submit this certificate with its bid will be disqualified.
The bid envelopes of companies applying for tenders will be received until May 6, 2026, and the envelopes will be opened the next day.
