Staff experiencing a surge in violence in one of the country’s major hospitals are opting to quit their jobs rather than endure the safety threat, it emerged yesterday.
Josephine Ryan Leacy, chief executive of the Mater Hospital in Dublin’s north inner city, said anti-social behaviour had “increased exponentially”.
