A machine malfunction occurred on the Panama-flagged 185-meter dry cargo ship named Zaltron, in front of Galatasaray Island, while passing through the Bosphorus.
THE BOSPHORUS WAS CLOSED TO TWO-WAY SHIP TRAFFIC
Due to the malfunction, the Bosphorus was closed to two-way ship traffic.
TUGBOATS WERE SHIPPED
To solve the problem, tugboats of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety were dispatched to the region.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY
In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on the subject, “Our KURTARMA-3, KURTARMA-5 and KURTARMA-9 tugboats belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure were immediately directed to the scene for the ship named ZALTRON, which had an engine malfunction in front of Kuruçeşme in the Bosphorus.
