The current agenda of politics is falling birth rates and aging population.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced some of these plans when announcing that they declared the period 2026-2035 as the Population and Family Year in the face of this problem.
Speaking at the BPP Eskişehir Ordinary Provincial Congress held at Hasan Polatkan Cultural Center, Grand Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici made statements on the subject.
“WE SHOULD MAKE OUR CHILDREN MARRIED AS YOUNG AS POSSIBLE”
Destici stated that the number of children per family, which was 3 30 years ago, dropped below 1.5 and said:
“I’m saying it as defined in world literature, we are among the top 5 most endangered nations and countries.
We are walking downwards. If we continue like this, we had a dream of exceeding 100 million, but after 30 years we will fall below 50 million, we will shrink. Then we will lose our family, our country and our lands.
That’s why we must protect our family structure. We should marry our children as young as possible. “We should openly encourage them to have children after marriage.”
“ARE OUR CHILDREN MORE WORTHY THAN STRAY DOGS?”
Referring to the stray dog attacks that have occurred in different provinces recently, Destici said: “Are our children’s lives more valuable than stray dogs? These dog wardens, extensions of food lobbies, raise a fuss when something is done to a dog.
When dogs maul and kill children, you don’t hear any of them. “Those who stand up even when the dog gathers them, do not make any noise when the children are torn apart by the dogs.” he said.
“IT IS A PUBLIC SECURITY ISSUE”
Destici stated that his stance on stray dogs is clear, “The stray dog issue is a public health and public safety issue.” he said.
