I played football and boxing together, and that's why Boumediene punished me

The former player and historical scorer for several Algerian clubs, Hedi Khalili, confirms that the national team is capable of having its say in the World Cup finals, expressing his optimism about the possibility of appearing in an honorable manner that allows achieving results that honor Algerian football, especially in light of the availability of prominent players led by Riyad Mahrez and a professional coach of the caliber of Petkovic.

Hedi Khalili is considered one of the prominent players who left his mark remarkably in the history of Algerian football. In addition to carrying the colors of 13 teams in total, he left his mark as a prominent player and effective goalscorer. He retired from Al-Mayadeen when his uncle was 46 years old, where he won 3 titles, including the national championship with Ghali Mascara and the Algerian Cup with Mouloudia Oran, as well as the Algerian Military Cup, not to mention his contribution to the rise of several clubs such as Ittihad. Algeria, Nasr Hussein Dey, Ittihad Hajout and other clubs, while he left his mark in several teams that shone in the first division, such as Ghali Mascara, Sareia Relizane and Mouloudia Oran. He was also a candidate to carry the colors of well-established clubs in the adult fold, in the form of Mouloudia Algiers and JS Kabylie, with whom he trained at the request of coach Khalaf before that was not possible due to the dismissal document.

She retired at the age of 46 andI won 3 national titles and starred with 13 teamsA

Most observers agree on the exceptional and qualitative path of former player and scorer Hedi Khalili, who left his mark remarkably on Algerian stadiums, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, through his scoring sense and his high technical and physical capabilities, not to mention his sporting career, which initially combined football and boxing, not to mention his retirement at an advanced age (46 years). Al-Hadi Khalili revealed many of his adventures during his guest appearance on the “Shorouk News” channel, in the “Offside” program prepared and presented by our colleague Yassine Maaloumi. Al-Hadi Khalili had recently suffered a heart attack that caused him to face health problems, but the pause of the medical staff enabled him to regain his health. Regarding his relationship with football and boxing at the same time, Hedi Khalili confirmed that his father was a racing boxer, which is what motivated him to choose this sport at the beginning of his career, especially since the city of El Harrach, where he lived and grew up, is known for this type of sport as well as football, which made him bet on prominence in two different fields, which he achieved at the high level, given that he was the Algerian champion in boxing, just as he excelled at the high level in football, as evidenced by his receiving an invitation to train with the national team. This happened, according to him, at the same time, which made him choose to attend with the national boxing team coinciding with the Mediterranean Games involved in the mid-seventies, which made him subject to a lifelong ban during the era of the late President Houari Boumediene, and this punishment was carried out under the pretext of his refusal to be invited to represent the national colors. The managers in charge of him explained to Al-Faf and the ministry that Al-Hadi Khalili was present with the national boxing team, which made the concerned authorities withdraw this punishment, at a time when it was later emptied. For the sport of football, which enabled him to stand out for many years at the high level, especially after he went through a qualitative experience in western Algeria, starting with Ghali Maksar, with whom he won the championship title in the mid-eighties along with prominent players from Tina Belloumi, Chibani and the rest, where he stole the spotlight in big matches, including his team’s match between Relizane and Mouloudia Haran in the latter’s stadium. He says in this regard: “The fans came to watch Ben Saoula and they saw Khalili,” where he scored two goals and contributed to the victory. A camp outside the bases, which made the Hamraoua players, led by Kacem Lillmane, sign him in the following season, where Khalili shone with Mouloudia Oran, with whom he won the Algerian Cup, just as he shone later in the colors of Sarie Relizane, who was composed of several prominent players led by the scorer Ben Abbou.

Mahrez is a rare player“The greens“ They will have their say in the World Cup

Hedi Khalili confirms that after his qualitative adventure in western Algeria with prominent clubs such as Ghali Mascara, Mouloudia Oran and Sarie Relizane, he thought about returning to the capital, which made him carry the colors of several ambitious and long-established clubs, where he contributed to the rise of USM Hajout at the expense of USM Algeria, just as he contributed to the rise of the latter. He gave a lot to Haidra Club and Olympia Medea to several clubs, so he decided to retire at the age of 46, leaving everyone talking about his achievements, his beautiful football paintings, and the decisive goals he scored in the colors of 13 teams. He carried the colors throughout his football career, thus becoming one of the most prominent players who shone in the offensive side and lived a long life on the green rectangle.

Hedi Khalili maintains good and bad memories in his football career, including his retraction from filing a lawsuit against Messer Sariye Relizane at the request of his mother, as well as his being forced to leave Mouloudia Oran due to the choices of coach Abdullah Meshri, not to mention his shock after learning about the retirement documents and his meager pension despite everything he had provided throughout his football career. However, at the same time, Hedi Khalili confirms on the program of colleague Yassine Maaloumi that his conscience is clear, because he was keen to honor The colors of the clubs whose colors he carried, just as he was not a party to the buying and selling phenomenon despite the temptations to which he was exposed. He also denied that he was behind the fall of ES Setif in the 1980s, just as he confirmed that there were clubs whose colors he was nominated to carry but that was not possible, and at the forefront of that was Mouloudia Algiers during the era of Lemoi, just as he spoke bitterly about the reasons for his marginalization in the national team, after he received the invitation during the era of coach Rogoff at the end of the 1980s but was not included in the Marseille friendly, which made him decide Do not return to the “Greens” again.
