The founding documents were signed in the building of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan.
The authorized capital of the new tour operator amounted to 100 thousand US dollars with an equal distribution of shares between the parties. The company’s activities will cover a wide range of tourism services, including ecotourism, cultural and gastronomic tours, as well as medical and business tourism.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel noted that the creation of a single tour operator will further strengthen bilateral cooperation and increase the international attractiveness of the region as a single tourist destination. According to him, in recent years there has been a positive dynamics of mutual tourist exchange, and the implementation of such initiatives is aimed at further increasing tourist flows.
The diplomat recalled that in 2024–2025, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Baku organized two Kazakh-Azerbaijani tourism forums aimed at developing industry cooperation. The third forum will be held in 2026 in Turkestan.
Currently, there is a developed air service between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The total number of direct flights exceeds 30 per week.
It is expected that the launch of TurAn will be an important step in the development of the tourism industry of the two countries, will contribute to the growth of investment activity and the creation of joint tourism products in international markets.
