The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced the closure of its registration center in the Khalda region on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The Commission explained that this closure comes as a result of carrying out some scheduled construction work within the center’s building, to ensure the continuity of efficient service provision and the development of the facility’s infrastructure.
She pointed out that this closure is limited to registration work only, while counseling services will remain available and will not be affected by this temporary stop.
The Commission advised visitors who have appointments related to registration on that day to review the notices sent to them or to communicate through official channels to confirm their alternative appointments.
The Commission invited everyone to follow its official platforms to obtain updates, or visit the official websites.
