Shaheed El Hafed, April 26, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the POLISARIO Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has sent his congratulations to the participants of the 8th Congress of Brazil’s Workers’ Party.
“On the occasion of the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party, allow me to extend to you, on behalf of the Sahrawi government and people, our fraternal greetings,” President Ghali said in his message to the congress.
“This congress is a space to reaffirm historic commitments to justice, the sovereignty of peoples, and international solidarity,” the President of the Republic added.
The President of the Republic called on Brazil’s Workers’ Party to work toward promoting the recognition of the Sahrawi Republic by Brazil and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“We hope that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will heed this call, as he has done for other just causes such as the recognition of Palestine and East Timor, and will once again place Brazil on the right side of history,” the President concluded.
