Harmonization of the projects of the future bus station and the swimming pool that is planned to be built in Igalo, the relocation of installations and the resolution of property and legal relations changed the dynamics of the works and therefore the deadline for the completion of this large project.
The President of the Municipality, Stevan Katic, said that the completion of the bus station was planned for the beginning of summer, but that several factors influenced the deadlines to be changed. reports the portal RTHN.
“During the works on the road that goes towards the Gomila settlement, installations appeared that were not in the cadastre and had to be moved. It was also necessary to harmonize the projects of the bus shelter and the future swimming pool due to the difference in the heights of the two buildings. In addition to the consent of CEDIS for supplying the facility with electricity, the consent of the Igalo Institute was also awaited because the cables are being laid in a ring, one part from Tito’s villa to the bus station and passing through their property, and the other part from the bus station to “Gomila” substation, near the Voli market,” Katic said.
All this had an effect on changing the deadlines and the dynamic plan, but, according to him, the bus will be completed this year. Katic says that steps have already been taken to put the bus in operation, that is, to obtain a license and category.
He states that this is a very important and one of the biggest projects being worked on in Herceg Novi, which will bring better conditions for passengers and carriers, increase safety and certainly reduce vehicle delays on the highway, especially during the summer months when transit is very pronounced.
The access road to the bus station is being built by the Entekst company from Podgorica, and the value of the works is 800,000 euros.
The total project for the construction of the bus station, which was provided from the state budget, is worth 9.5 million euros, the construction part costs 5.7 million euros, and the equipment costs about 3 million.
The bus station will have 18 arrival and departure platforms, as well as 10 parking platforms, business premises, restaurants… There will also be a parking area for users, and a separate section is planned for parking taxis, writes RTHN.
